How to find the right COO
We have a robust recruitment process with a series of mandatory steps to ensure quality at all stages. In order to find the right candidate, we are committed to have a common understanding with the customer regarding requirements and needs right from the start of the assignment. We get this by developing a requirements profile in dialog with the customer. To help us do this, we have our own digital profile tool that makes it possible to define and evaluate competencies and other requirements in real time. Once the requirements profile is formulated, we start searching for candidates.
At Brightmill we work exclusively with search. This means that we source candidates who we believe match the requirements profile. We then conduct a full-scale recruitment process according to all the rules of the art including quality assurance interviews, background checks, customer interviews and reference checks. An overall needs analysis is carried out at the first contact. Thanks to our long experience and experienced executive recruiters, we can quickly understand the needs and advise on any questions or concerns.
Based on the needs analysis, we create, preferably together with the customer in real time, a requirements profile that defines requirements for skills and experience. The requirements profile then forms the basis for the continued process through dialogue with candidates, candidate presentations, reference taking and follow-up during the interim assignment.
Interim recruitment has to be fast. The secret is to have a large network of candidates with up-to-date information on their skills and availability. We have that at Brightmill. To find the best candidates, we always rely on our own network of carefully selected candidates across Sweden, Denmark and Germany. We work quickly and efficiently thanks to our proprietary system support that makes us spot-on and time-efficient.
In order to make the selection process as efficient as possible, we use our digital profile tool to compare candidates' competences with the requirements profile. This allows us to ensure the objectivity of the selection and that the candidates contacted have a relevant profile.
At Brightmill, we work exclusively with competence-based recruitment. The responsible executive recruiter interviews the candidates and prepares a clear candidate profile to complement the candidate's CV. Brightmill presents the most interesting candidates to the client.

Background checks are carried out on all candidates we present. Reference checks are carried out by Brightmill on the final candidate. It is also based on the requirements profile and supplemented by a series of generic questions that are compiled in writing in an easy-to-understand format.
Contracts are signed digitally with the client and then with the consultant. Brightmill also provides assistance with start-up and onboarding.

We have offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Hamburg, but we work country-wide. Our largest market is Sweden, followed by Denmark and Germany. Our candidates are located country-wide.
In contrast to recruitment companies that specialize in individual industries, we specialize in interim management. After 10 years with full focus on interim management, there are few industries we haven't worked with.
We are used to dealing with confidential assignments and have procedures to work safely without naming the client. We also have procedures for signing confidentiality agreements when we get to that stage of the process - all to ensure the level of discretion desired in each individual assignment.
We can have a consultant on site at the client's premises after just two weeks. In most cases, we can present candidates within a few days of the assignment inquiry.
We do a background checks on all candidates we present to clients. This is to ensure that the conditions for successful assignment delivery are are the right ones. In addition, we conduct reference checks on all final candidates.
