Sustainability as part of our approach
Sustainability
Sustainability is an integral part of how Brightmill conducts its operations. As part of the Broviken Group, we work systematically with sustainability issues to create long-term value for employees, clients, and society. Brightmill also contributes to the Group’s annual sustainability reporting by providing relevant data related to environmental, social, and governance matters, in line with the Group’s timeline and format.
Our sustainability work encompasses three areas:
How we work – Structure and follow-up
To ensure that we focus on the right issues, the Broviken Group conducts an annual double materiality analysis. This creates a shared understanding of the Group’s impact on people and the environment, as well as which sustainability-related risks and opportunities are most significant.
Based on the analysis, focus areas are established. For each area, goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) are established that form the basis for monitoring and evaluating sustainability work.
Environmental responsibility
We work to reduce our environmental impact through practical choices in daily operations and in our procurement. Within the Group, this includes:
- Energy efficiency is considered when purchasing computers and selecting new premises.
- Digital meetings are prioritized where possible to reduce travel and climate impact.
- Resource- and energy-efficient alternatives are prioritized when purchasing products and services, as well as sustainable materials and production methods where relevant.
- Transportation and travel are planned with the ambition to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and choose more sustainable alternatives when appropriate.
We are also developing our sustainability work in relation to clients and assignments—with the goal of contributing to sustainable choices and long-term value creation.
Social responsibility
Brightmill operates in a service business where people and competence are central. Therefore, we prioritize a safe and inclusive work environment.
This means that we:
- work for health, good working conditions, and equality, diversity, and inclusion,
- promote a safe work environment and encourage reporting of deficiencies, risks, and incidents,
- have a clear expectation that discrimination, harassment, and inappropriate behavior are not tolerated.
We also place requirements on our suppliers. Procurement shall be conducted responsibly and with respect for resource use. Suppliers shall comply with national laws and regulations and respect relevant international conventions.
Responsible business practices
We shall be a reliable business partner and conduct operations with high ethical standards and good business practices. This means that we:
- comply with laws, agreements, and internal regulations,
- work to prevent corruption and other irregularities,
- safeguard reliable and secure information management.
Our Code of Conduct provides guidance on how we act as an employer and business partner and covers social responsibility, environmental responsibility, and business ethics.
